ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø recently joined approximately 40 African countries represented through the African Diplomatic Corps at the African Union Embassy in Washington, D.C., for a day of conversations focused on expanding access to books and educational resources across Africa.

Gardens of Hope for Africa: Nourishing Minds and Cultivating Peace ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø is proud to partner with Pax Agricultura for Gardens of Hope for Africa, an intimate fundraising gathering supporting literacy and Global Book Ecosystems across Africa. Taking place Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at a private estate in Marin County, California, the event will bring together leaders and supporters committed to nourishing the body, nourishing the mind, and cultivating peace across Africa.

Join ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø in Atlanta for an inspiring event dedicated to expanding access to education and creating opportunity through books. This special fundraiser will bring together supporters, partners, and community members who believe in the power of literacy to transform futures.

Fifty first-year law students from Georgia State College of Law volunteered August 14 at the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Atlanta warehouse, continuing a tradition that began in 2010 as part of annual day of service following law school orientation. The students helped sort and pack books that will go to students throughout the African continent

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø was delighted to gather with members of our Kilimanjaro Society for a special evening of gratitude and connection at the beautiful home of Peter and Joni Sussman. Surrounded by friends who share a passion for ending the book famine in Africa, guests enjoyed delicious food catered by Afro Deli, meaningful conversation, and quality time together. The evening was an opportunity to celebrate the generosity of our $1,000+ donors and the tremendous difference their support makes for students, educators, libraries, and communities across Africa. We are deeply grateful to our Kilimanjaro Society members for their continued commitment to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. Their generosity helps put books and educational resources into the hands of those who need them most—and makes our mission possible.

When Skyline NGO Madagascar reached out to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø with a bold vision to improve literacy, the need was undeniable. Facing some of the world's greatest educational challenges—including limited access to electricity, technology, and books—Madagascar's children needed a reliable path to learning. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø responded by shipping two containers totaling 83,620 books to the Skyline Public Library Project in Madagascar, helping establish community libraries that will provide lasting access to educational resources for children and families. This effort was made possible through the generous financial support of Better World Trust, while Lights For Literacy provided solar lamps to ensure students can continue reading and studying even after the sun goes down.
