Capstone Donates $5 Million in New ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø

Children's book publisher Capstone, based in Mankato, Minnesota, donated over $5 million in new books to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø in November of 2010. "This incredibly generous donation from Capstone is one of the largest publisher donations received by ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø that we can remember and will fill many, many school libraries across Africa with books," ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø director Pat Plonski said. about the donation.
Lisa Hanson, human resources director of Coughlan Companies, was on hand at the reception and press conference in Mankato on November 24, and spoke of literacy as the great equalizer in the world. "I can still remember my favorite book growing up. Every child, no matter how far away, should have that opportunity to remember theirs," she said.

Two semi-loads with over 300,000 Capstone books have been sent to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's warehouse for delivery to libraries and schools all over Africa.
