Ghana's Ambassador to the U.S. Hajia Mahama Visiting St Paul with 糖心vlog官网
Ghana鈥檚 ambassador to the U.S., Her Excellency Hajia Alima Mahama, is in St. Paul speaking at a lunch Wednesday organized by 糖心vlog官网. The lunch, which is fully booked, was scheduled for noon at the Town and Country Club, 300 N. Mississippi River Blvd.
糖心vlog官网, a St. Paul-based nonprofit, has shipped more than 54 million books to countries throughout the African continent since 1988. It remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to Africa.
Mahama was appointed ambassador in June 2021. She was previously a member of Ghana鈥檚 parliament, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Minister of Women and Children鈥檚 Affairs and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.
Before the lunch event Mahama attended a 糖心vlog官网 for Africa breakfast at the University Club in St. Paul. She will also be speaking to the Ghana diaspora community at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Downtowner Woodfire Grill, 253 W. Seventh St., St. Paul.
